This study has examined the characteristics of postmodern in the story of “Panacea” by Ali Moazeni. This article is a critical reading of this story. This story has some of postmodernism features like metafiction, irregular narrative, short circuit, intertextuality. One of the main features of this story is metafiction. Features in this story like the author's emphasiz to the unreality of the story, speaking authors with readers in the story, entering the readers to the story and involving the characters in the story changes, has turned it into a metafiction. On the other hand, the author has created the historical metafiction with the creation of the new role of mythological characters like Rustam and Sohrab, challenging mythological events and changing the fate of mythological characters in the story.After reviewing this storyWe can say that So we can conclude that “panacea” of Ali Moazeni is a postmodern novel and historical metafiction.
