This research investigates the embedded reader/hidden reader in the eight-volume collection of a fictional story with a Qur'anic /concept by Claire Jobert. Using Chambers method, one can find how the reader in the process of reading the novel, communicates actively and the religious message is transferred. Studying point of view, style, advocay and gaps suggested by Chambers is done in each volume of the novel. The present study is a qualitative research done through content analysis. The researcher examines the books in a deductive way and the data are analyzed with a descriptive-interpretive approach. The result of this research shows that the author is successful in communicating with his audience. An examination of the style, point of view, advocacy, and rational gaps in each story shows a controlled and intimate relationship between the author and the audience. Therefore, it must be said that this story has been successful in transmitting the meanings of Quranic verses to children. The hidden reader in the text in this eight-volume collection is in the early years of elementary school.
