"Binary opposition" is one of the most important functions of the human collective mind, and forms the basic concept of structuralism. Nikolai Trubetzkoy (phonologyst 1938 / 1980) fist used the Term "Binary oppositions". Since the structuralism is based on opposition, there are the signs of opposition in the post-structuralism; for example, analyzing a sign into signifier and signified is understandable. In fact, voices and ideas are accounted as the formless masses in which form will be created. This kind of formation will be created by the relationships of succession and juxtaposition of elements. By analyzing the structure of the Blind Owl, the mental idea of its author will become tangible. The text of this book forms a system of thought which is a matrix of contrasts. The whole structure of this book is based on the opposites and paradox. In one hand, the opposition available in this book caused massive changes and on the other hand, the idea of unity was formed. Regarding these points, the basis of the Blind Owl is based on this aforementioned point. This research based on the analytical – descriptive method and the theoretical framework of "binary opposition" tries to answer to the fundamental question by following this function in the Blind Owl: What is the thought system of this novel considering the binary opposition? Binary oppositions are one of the most central themes in The Blind Owl which are being studied regarding these three domains: contradiction, paradox and description.
