Abstract
Thinking in the structure of popular culture leads to our deep acquaintance with the worldview and the attitude of the people of the community and the movement towards the recognition of the collective and historical identity. This article seeks to examine the evolution of Iran's attitudes and ideas regarding the frequency and distribution of folk beliefs in different parts of the novel of the cloudy years in a statistical-analytical manner. To this end, we divided the 1646-page version of the cloudy days into three parts and the frequency of application of verbal beliefs in each section independently reviewed. The results of this research show that in the first part of the novel of the cloudy days, popular beliefs have a significant presence and frequency; in the second part, the use of elements of folklore is somewhat reduced, and in the third part, the effect of such superstitious beliefs are not seen. As we go on reading the novel, moving forward in the linear course of the novel and moving closer to the final parts of the novel, the frequency of such beliefs and popularity is less pronounced. That is, since the first Pahlavi era (which is the beginning of the novel) is closer to the years leading up to the revolution (which is the end of the novel), the folk and superstitious beliefs place themselves in consciousness and rationality, and the situation of society from the perspective of the culture and the transcendental thought It's more than the past.
