One of the fundamental and important topics in the contemporary story literature is the relation and link between the myth and its reflection in the novel. The importance of this issue is highlighted when tendency towards the myths has had its own reasons in different periods and due to those reasons it contained both strengths and weaknesses. In the field of writing mythological novels such as historical novels the reasons such as necessity of the life, nostalgic tendency, etc. shall be considered; but this issue that the writers have reflected mythological narratives in their novels is an issue that may pave the way for analysis of many of the works or trends of contemporary novel writing and also reflection of cultural and social situation of different contemporary periods. Therefore tendency towards widespread and new reflection of mythological narratives in the novels of the mentioned period, encourages us to identify the origins of such story development which is undoubtedly fruit of the difference in the approach of our contemporary humans and their distinguished similarity with the periods in the past.

In Iranian Myth, Ahreman and Azdahāg (Zahāk) are comparable from different aspects. In addition to serpent, wolf is manifested in azdahāg`s nature and name too. The name of azdahāg (Av: aži.dahāka) means “Serpent- Wolf” or “Wolflike serpent” due to various reasons. Dahāka means “Wolf” and derivates from IE: *dhau “choking”. Those who named themselves dāha or dāsa were young warrior and by this denomination they were trying to strengthen “myth wolf`s” nature and attribute during war. Dragon is known in other peoples. Slaves, Russian, Germans and Mesopotamian people recognize such entity. During ages this dragon- serpent transformed to a king carrying snake on shoulders. Although carrying snakes is the symbol of cruelty and slaughter in Iran, but sometimes divines, goddess and kings in Mesopotamia are drawn in this shape.

According to his definition, Morphology refers to description of the stories, based on their composing elements as well as cohesive and their relationship with themselves and among the whole story. He analyzes a tale based on the characters’ functions and makes a symbol for each function. He approaches the final formula about making story by locating them close together. This paper is an analysis of story of “Kush-Nam-e” by using of Propp’s Morphology. This is a method to test for theory of Morphology in type of literature myth. Also when we comparatively consider structure of a tale, some similarities will be detected behind of those messy and different faces.

Literary figures of speech are ornaments that make speech adorned; indeed, they are some kinds of elements that make usual language closer to artistic one, just the same thing that the formalists are trying to discover and investigate in their own works. Novel is one of the literary works that has extensive and open room for creation and movement towards artistic innovations and the writer has chance to display his/ her art in more details and accuracy in the story. In fact, in novels the extensive room is provided to create literary figures of speech in a cohesive relation with the main subject. In this paper, given that this aspect of modern novel has been considered less in the country, the writer intends to consider the artistic dimension of the work in more details by introducing and investigating literary figures of speech in two realistic novels "Salhay-e Abri (Cloudy years) and Shohar-e AhooKhanom (Madam Ahoo,s Husband)", along with evaluating and recognizing the figures of speech existed in the two works mentioned above.
